In an attempt to understand the inner workings of our government, and to put my financial background to work on this project, (Because I heard Maxine Water-on-the-brain thought she should be in charge of the finance committee), I have tried to unwind the financial principles involved in the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the documents from the Foreign Military Sales Trust Fund.
I have created the attached graphical representation of the financial elements, and the illustration to help myself and anyone who cares to understand, how these payments, their distribution and delivery, and the calculations of these payments from departments of our government. Until someone questions this or submits a correction these are the facts as I have been able to dig out from the information available on the web. This came from a variety of places, and the final disclosure from, the Testimony of Treasury Department Assistant General Counsel For Enforcement And Intelligence Paul Ahern Before The House Committee On Financial Services Subcommittee On Oversight And Investigations.
This discussion of understanding can help us all know the things that “They” try to push past us in their never ending attempts to do things that don’t make any sense.
In short the Iranians gave us over $300 million dollars for their purchase of military supplies and equipment.
We never delivered any military equipment under these contracts, but we returned all there deposited funds + another $1.5 billion in interest over the last 37 Years.
